Greetings Respected Sirs,
Some of you may know me, my name is Maeturorant Gorthaurca and I tend to spend a great deal of time within the Pissing Crone. I have been asked by several individuals to run for the elections in Upper Sanctuary and so now I am doing so.
I will be blunt. I wish to assist you and your people establish their own city, seperate in all ways from Upper Sanctuary. I have made this opinion public and will include what I have written about Lower Sanctuary, that you might comment upon it and understand my position.
---Lower Sanctuary The people in Lower Sanctuary wish to be their own entity. They have shown this time and again. They do not wish to be a part of Upper Sanctuary nor our protections. I say we respect their decision.
1. We should treat the leaders they appoint as representitives and accord them the same hospitality and dignity that we give our own councilors. We should work with these Lower Councilmen to establish a mutually beneficial arrangements, such as discussing the possibility of setting up embassies within each others borders. Let us not forget that it was men and women of Lower Sanctuary that brought stability and peace to Lower Sanctuary.
2. The temporary lift that is set up by Councilor Bhast should be turned into a small watch outpost, where we can screen who use the lift and ensure that they are not criminals attempting to escape to Lower Sanctuary. If criminals assault us from Lower Sanctuary and we capture them outside Lower Sanctuary we shall try them here with our laws. Under no circumstances shall we pursue them into Lower Sanctuary. I would suggest that the Lower Council does likewise on their end.
It is in our best interest to aid in establishing a secure government for the people of Lower Sanctuary, and government that they want. It is unacceptable to continue to force ourselves on an unwilling population. That route can only lead to purposeless bloodshed, as we saw when our Agents and Watchmen attempted to arrest Johny Dimes.---
