For Eugene Castile at the Chapterhouse

The Twenty-eighth of Flamerule, One-hundred and Fifty-one years since the founding of Sanctuary.

Ordinant Eugene Castile,

This letter is written concerning your recent notice on "the invisible threat". First, as is written prominently in the Society's collected literary works, the Illithid employ psionic (for a more publicly-familiar term, psychic) powers to enthrall victims. It is Beholders that use magical domination, yet they receive no mention among the Aberrant threats in your poster. Delve into the city's history (keyword: Thool'oon) and you'll see why it would be able to strike closer to the hearts of citizens.

A Councilor who has devoted his life to his faith in Mystra, and understanding the weave-abusing Aberrations and their magics.
In my observations of the city's history, while many of our councilors are sincere followers of particular patrons, few that use their religion as a platform will acheive or maintain office.
I'll see that regular inspections are made on all city officials and law enforcers - along with randomly arranged surprise checks.
Good could actually come of that. The Watch has been informally trying to get its members to receive regular mental examination, and when a need is seen the Spellguard is readily able to inspect its own members. Regarding Majre Nogueyra, she was probed at least twice during her political career and found clean; however, speak with Ordinant Lathae concerning something else about her. I suspect she had an implant which allowed Intryzz to monitor her, and relinquish what little control he exerted over her before examination, until the point where he claimed her.
After seeing the enthralled Majre Nogueyra with my own two eyes, I realized that it was absolutely necessary that such initiatives are begun, so that this city never again suffers the plight of a thrall that is given so much power.

Furthermore. I will pass reforms that ensure any citizen who travels to the Sleeping Pyrimo Inn is detained and immedietly searched for any connection to Intryzz. I'm unaware if this is current Sanctuary policy, however, I will see that this policy is solidified and made concrete in definition.

You make an excellent argument against visiting the Pyrimo after admitting you've been there. It is already standard Spellguard policy to examine people who have had contact with the Illithid, including the Sleeping Pyrimo or psionic technology. Of course, people like yourself tend to object to our adherence to the policy.

I implore you to seek Ordinant Lathae's counsel in this matter,

Agent Varlam Nikitovich Order of the Spellguard

Agent Nikitovich,

Firstly, thank you for taking interest in my campaign! The fervor, emotion, and energy of the upcoming elections are truly an exciting time. The times are so exciting, that I'm willing to brush off your snide assumptions about my public messages that I'm delivering to the masses. The bulk of the citizenry is not quite as educated as you, or your Spellguard friends. Hence the need to speak in layman's terms.

Just so niether of us forget about it, I want to take the time to thank you again for imprisoning me, falsifying evidence, and dragging the whole messy affair to trial. That was an event in my life that I'll never forget, and a grand way to waste Councilor Tyrell's time. Oh the memories!

Hoping for a safer Sanctuary, Eugene Castile.

P.S: Is Richelle Lindgren still with your Order? She's not returning my letters and I've not seen her patrolling the streets for sometime. If she's not with your Order, maybe you could tell me how to get in touch with her? Thanks again.
