A few public notices placed around Lower

[in a smoothly flowing pen]

Ladies and Gentlemen of this fair city.

For two nights now, chaos has been brought to our gates. Both Oorog and Lizardmen. "Councilor" Jarby has gone well and beyond to enforce his policy that we shall remain safe from the impending "Conflict" with upper, and yet we are left with slaughterings at our gates. If he cannot best Foul Orcs and foolish Lizards, how is he to protect us from the Spellguard, as he so well promised? Through attempting to recruiting the same gangs that fought for control while the council was weak, and putting them behind the rule of law?

Orison was elected on a premise of social reform, yet the -seeker-, who I may add, works in upper sanctuary when not toiling away at our laws, leaves me to wonder just how much he has our interest at heart. A man of upper on our council? He has our best interests at heart I'm sure. While we suffer the curses of poverty and starvation as well as the chaos of invasion day and night, he sits in a fine compound within upper during the day.

As a concerned citizen, I am truly offended that these two gentlemen were elected with our security and welfare in mind, and placed with such power as leading in our benefit. I suppose that someone was quite drunk while counting our ballots, I'm sure, because I can find no other way to comprehend why such was chosen.

By the nine hells, There are times I wonder if we would not be better off still under the tyranny of the Tigereyes, while being a part of Sanctuary, than being left to suffer under the incompetent and the cold-hearted. How many of us must die before the council realizes that these two are simply a plague upon us? How many of our children must sit in the dark corners of caverns, huddled together in their own filth in hopes of simple survival? How can they stop crime, when they put criminals in -power- and refuse to end the strife and poverty that leads us to steal simply for -survival-?

I personally am disgusted and offended, and feel like nothing more than a simple piece of trash like so many others that litter our streets. To think I thought these men at a time worthy competition and perhaps friends, simply embarrasses me.

-Kaen Piccoli, concerned citizen.
