Every day, of every tenday, of every month, the invisible threat lingers within Sanctuary. It is bolstered by ineffecient laws, propagated by a system that does not acknowledge the severity and truth of this threat.
What is this threat? What is this rubbish all about? Invisible?
The invisible threat I speak of is Aberration thralls. Normal looking men and women who serve Illithid masters unquestioningly. Concealed implants, extensive brain surgeries, and powerful enthralling magics make these men and women invisible to the majority of our citizens. Currently, the city lacks a solid plan to safeguard us against these willing, and more often unwilling agents of Aberration greed and cruelty. Agents who seek to undermine, spy, and help the enemies of our city destroy us.
Changes need to be made. Laws and Initiatives must be passed by the Council. A Councilor is needed who will step up, identify these threats, and pacify them. A Councilor who has devoted his life to his faith in Mystra, and understanding the weave-abusing Aberrations and their magics.
Citizens of Sanctuary, I ask that you give me your votes, so that I might begin my proposed reforms.
As your Councilor, I would work tirelessly and endlessly to pass reforms that will ensure no thralls ever are allowed to take positions of authority. I'll see that regular inspections are made on all city officials and law enforcers - along with randomly arranged surprise checks. After seeing the enthralled Majre Nogueyra with my own two eyes, I realized that it was absolutely necessary that such initiatives are begun, so that this city never again suffers the plight of a thrall that is given so much power.
Furthermore. I will pass reforms that ensure any citizen who travels to the Sleeping Pyrimo Inn is detained and immedietly searched for any connection to Intryzz. I'm unaware if this is current Sanctuary policy, however, I will see that this policy is solidified and made concrete in definition.
By Mystra, and with your votes, I can promise you all a Safer Sanctuary if elected.
