I have heard that this PW takes different enviornmental lighting into effect with regards to bonuses or penalties to your hide checks. You hide better in a dark area,.. then next to a torch. Makes sense.
My question is this.
I just purchased a necklace for my monk a few days ago that has a bright white, 15m radius light when worn as its effect.
If I click "Stealth Mode", and I'm wearing my lightsource necklace,.. am I pretty much unable to hide? Or do I have massive penalties?
Kind of hard to hide when your the center of a 45 foot moving circle of bright white light.
Does this effect your hide skill at all?

Having a light source while attempting to hide is a -10 penalty.

There is alot of engine level adjustments for hide and move silently, including tileset, light level and a few other features which are not scripted, they just exist.

Someone did a ton of experimenting to see what effect light has. The results were:
1) You get a penalty to hide for holding light or wearing light any time it is dark out.
2) You get a bonus to spot for holding or wearing light if it is dark out.
As far as standing in dark areas, it has no real effect other than there is a modifier on entire areas. For example, in an inn is better lit than in the streets, so spot checks are harder in the streets. Sanctuary is more lit than the underdark, so you get bigger penalties to spot out in the underdark.

Do different lights from the same source stack?
Say for instance, if I have continual flame cast on my helm AND on my armour, will I get bonus's to spot someone sneaking up on me?
