The spell doesn't appear to work -
That is, the spell can be cast, and the glyph graphic will appear, but on two occasions now when I've used the spell, (which, by my calculations should last 3 turns) explodes properly when an enemy enters the Area of Effect, but does not inflict any damage.
It's a shame, because the spell is so underused, while still so very very cool, that now it can't be used at all.

I've observed the same thing as Kotenku. I see the animatron but the trap doesn't appear or do any damage.

The animation is wicked cool though. Have to admit that.

I really do think that a glyph is like a magical trap and should be able to stay in place for a significant amount of time which, as it seems now, is way to short at 3 turns.
I seriously think this should be amped up to at least a couple minutes. This would help during quests.

I've noticed this as well. I'll do some tests.

It's worth checking whether the glyph is still around, despite not being ridiculously obvious to everybody passing by. I think that's how they're supposed to work -- their appearance becomes much less obvious soon after they're placed, but they do stick around.

I've definitely used this effectively with NPCs. The big graphic goes away, but it remains in effect.

It's not that the graphic disappears-
It's that a creature moves into or near the graphic, the graphic disappears, and no damage is dealt. While it should explode in a sonic blast and do damage.
It does no damage.

Has this happened consistently with different creatures?
I wonder if it could be related to the bug with the fire traps, where they fired but did no damage.

Was this something to do with a delayed effect after the trigger?
When you walk over the trap/glyph it's some time before it checks to see who's in the radius.. so in that time the triggerer may be outside range of the damage radius?

The first was a Vargouille, the second time was a gnoll.
I'm willing to help test, if you like. <.<

Well, this is probably lag/multiplayer related if it's happening on other servers as well.

Any chance to change it, then?
(like some kind of Fire Ball, or Scintillating Sphere? only for Sonic)

It's not a fireball-but-sonic, because clerics really aren't supposed to have fireball-type spells (as far as I understand such things). I will look into making its current form function better, though.

Even though this is a 3.5 reference I think it's pretty much similar to the 3.0 one.
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/glyphOfWarding.htm
Glyph is supposed to be damage type as assigned by the placer, and it is supposed to also be set to be triggered on certain classifications of enemies.
quoted : "Glyphs can also be set with respect to good, evil, law, or chaos, or to pass those of your religion. "
It's possible you could use a spell component like thing (like summoning has) to define the type of damage on the glyph. And possibly also to define what triggers it.
This damage is acid, cold, fire, electricity, or sonic (caster’s choice, made at time of casting).
Also with this spell a different type of glyph can be done which stores a spell (any level 3 or below) so that activates instead.
So you can actually do things like put a glyph on the ground that responds to creatures of your alignment that casts magic circle vs EVIL on then when they walk close to it.
Also the spell apparently can be cast on objects that open (like chests, doors etc) so that it only does it's "check" when somebody does that - opens the object . So it's a different form to the normal proximity thing.
But this is but one spell, not a whole class of spells (like summon) so even though it'd be very cool for the spell to have all these "modes" , paraphrasing arkov in advance :) I'm not sure it's worth the effort.
