I'm pretty sure all the "extra" slots for domains are full. I remember Thrawn or Arkov saying they had to decide which ones to add and which ones not too. But if it turns out no one is using some of the new domains, and enough people want this one, maybe they'll change it. I remember also someone wanting to add the "repose" domain.

No. There is no fixed number of "extra" slots.
Is there a canon Disease domain?

Can't be done.
[Edit]
Or maybe it can!
And no, no canon Disease domain.

decay is canon though..
I got info on it from the cleric domains downloadable file.
The official decay domain has ray of enfeeblement and contagion in it. Infestation I added simply because it goes well with the theme (and because it's a druid spell that seems like it belongs as a cleric spell)
The pdf file here called "clerical domains" has the collation of official domains from various supplementary official books (book of vile darkness etc).

Theres a heap here, too many to implement them all (and not enough spells without repetition) but it's a great place to look for domain ideas.
I used the talk table viewer to hunt for an occurance of DECAY by itself and DIDNT find it :( Though I looked up some synonyms and did find WITHERING at strref: 91223
So you could implement the canon domain of decay but call it withering.

That is an Eberron domain, though.

You're right , I'm trying to get a theme that works for talona and yurtrus (both disease gods) the official domain they have in common is SUFFERING.
(which could be used with: withering)
Ray of enfeeblement, Contagion and infestation of maggots are all spells of suffering.
Canonwise though this is also a domain that ilmater has which wouldnt make much sense.
Loviatar, jergal and kossuth also get suffering.
However there is another possibility, you could use
Talk table strref: Pain 4721
And have a pain domain for the above (suffering)
Pain Domain
(1) Bears Endurance, (2) Ray of Enfeeblement, (3) Infestation of Maggots

I'm personally much more in favour of a Pain domain as a substitute for the Suffering domain, but the thought of Talona having a Pain domain strikes me as unfitting. Withering, on the other hand, would make a lot more sense for Talona, but not so much for Ilmater. Is there a synonym for suffering in the talk table like, say, affliction, anguish, or torment?

Ilmater having suffering might make sense , but the spells in the domain are pretty cruel, so likely a cleric of ilmater using this would not remain a cleric of ilmater for long. Though used in a retributive fashion against someone who is causing pain to others, as a teaching mentiod might be justifiable which is maybe why ilmater gets suffering. Ilmater is all about taking the suffering of others onto you so they dont have to suffer though.
Talona does get suffering as a domain, and poison and disease are both PAIN.
The other synonyms you mentioned are not there, I think PAIN is a reasonably close approximation for suffering.

But really, what is with upgrading clerics? can't we work on buffing some of the other classes instead? as if they're not powerful enough.

You always think i'm upgrading but I'm not, I'm just giving them some of the options they have in PnP, you still only get to pick 2 of however many domains there are.
I'm just making them more flavourful and cohesive with their deity, it doesnt make sense for example worshipping auril if you have NO deity given cold spells.
I'm quite happy to talk about other classes, what classes do you think are getting a raw deal? I'll make some suggestions for those as well.

Edited initial post to reflect PAIN domain in place of suffering domain
