INDEPENDENT CITIZENS OF THE REPUBLIC:
As you have most likely heard we have new Councilors. They were given their seats by "Councilor" Winston and "Councilor" "Big" Bill. However, just how much do you know of these men who would call themselves our "leaders"?
"Councilor" Orison: Who is Mr. Orison? He is a man of Upper, a "Seeker". Someone who works with the Spelltyrants and the "Watch". Someone who serves the Upper Council. Who here believes in their heart of hearts that this man has the best interest of our INDEPENDENT REPUBLIC at heart? Not I! Don't be fooled.
"Councilor" Sent: Who is Mr. Sent? To put it bluntly, a traitor. He willingly sold out Johnny Dimes. It is because of his actions that one of our own citizens is dead, and now he wishes to call himself your leader, and lull you into complacency with his "games". Don't be fooled. He will betray you like he betrayed Johnny.
"Councilor" Jerbay: Who is Mr. Jerbay? He thinks himself a servant of Tempus, but I ain't never seen a man of Tempus be so cowardly. The defense of our INDEPENDENT REPUBLIC have been placed in the hands of a coward. He has the courage of a Gnoll, and the strategic know-how of an Orc. Don't be fooled. Would you trust this man to guide you to victory on the battle field when he can't even win a simple battle in the arena?
And this brings us to "Councilor" Wenston and "Councilor" Bill, the two men who have decided to appoint your leaders for you. Is this how an INDEPENDENT REPUBLIC is run? By the will of two individuals? Have we strayed so far since the days of Ubel? Do they think you a blind fool?
These men do not seek INDEPENDENCE. They seek to maintain their grasp on power. They will betray you to the Spelltyrants and the other scum of Upper simply to maintain their power. They do not believe in INDEPENDENCE, and that is why both "Councilor" Wenston and "Councilor" Bill have decided to place these fools into OUR Council.
This is NOT the will of the people. WE ARE THE INDEPENDENT REPUBLIC OF SANCTUARY! We shall NOT be fooled by the tricks of the Spelltyrants, we shall NOT be fooled by the manipulation of fork tongued politicians. WE ARE THE INDEPENDENT REPUBLIC OF SANCTUARY! AND WE ARE FREE MEN!
Rise up! RISE UP AND DEMAND INDEPENDENCE NOW!
FREEDOM! INDEPENDENCE! UBEL! DEATH TO THE SPELLTYRANTS! DEATH TO THE WATCH! DEATH TO THE TRAITORS!
