And congratulations on your recent election by the people into power. I'll briefly introduce myself, Councilor. My name is Eugene Castile, Priest of Mystra, and Ordinant of the Society of the Ordered Mind. While I know the relationship between Lower Sanctuary and the Society has not always been on the best terms - we share the same opinion on many matters, most notably the Dread Tyrants above.

I would like to meet with you. I'd like to make some proposals, and ask what is being done to protect Lower Sanctuary from the aberrant threat outside and within. The longer Lower remains in Chaos, the more likely it is that thralls of the Illithid Mind Flayers are able to invade our city. I admire the work you're doing, and am very much hoping that we can establish a working relationship with one another for the betterment of all Sanctuary.

I read your letter and am heartwarmed to see men with sense of duty still inhabit the lands of upper. In regards to the abberant threat, I admit I know little of such beasts beyond the tales I have heard told. I would hear what you have to say and any suggestions you may have for warding Lower against their threat however. Find me around the Crone some time and we will discuss it.
