Making the walk to Mur a bit riskier

I know there are concearns regarding spawns too close to transitions, but the walk to forr mur is a bit safe at the moment. Once you are on the low road, you can run past all the mob spawns without a single fight. I have run past some of the meanest of random spawns, who idle oblvious to my presence. When I started that walk at least had a compulsory four-troll fight in the middle.

Specifically I think that the troll area in the middle should have a chance of a mob spawn. I think the mob at the western end of the west most bridge should be closer to the bridge, so it can see people crossing. I also think that several of the other spawns could be pushed a bit closer to the main trail. I remember walking in fear through that area even with high stealth not so long ago. Now its a cakewalk.

I'd rather see a troll actually collecting the toll. If he "percieves" you the conversation dialogue starts and he attacks unless you pay him his gold. More fun, slightly more danger.

I agree. It is sort of silly to have a sign demanding a toll but no one there to collect it.

I'd also like the badlands to be abit more bad. Some parts of it can be a walk through the park at times.

Keep in mind that the walk to mur is -not- as easy as you think. First off it's a low level fedex quest.

Second, the 105 lb. package will severely slow down MOST characters that aren't a melee combat type.

And Third, even if they can carry it, having a level 3 character take on a troll solo is a bit steep. There is a spawn of trolls (yes plural) not far from that bridge that do come and assault travelers often enough to make it risky.

Just having to travel out through the underdark is risky enough.

The problem is people who are really unhappy when they die right after transitioning, and the fact there isn't much room with all the bridge transitions and such.

I'm happy the way it is, I still shake lightly even when I have good stealth or invisibility spells, mostly because some spawns (I think) walk randomly and others are lured to transitions by fleeing PCs (if they make it), and lastly, if you venture alone in the Spire as much as I did and similar areas you notice that every single ramp can turn into such a mean death trap because line of sight is so very messy, making even the huge deep lizard show up only but a split second before it's too late.

Yeah please don't make it any harder just because some people are lucky enough not to encounter any spawns. I've never been that lucky :)

Aye, random encounters are one thing I do not like about EFU. But it is always fun to just stock up on invis. potions and just go around exploring.

INvis potion +. yea you can't live without it
