Custom Fit armors for the races

When you make custom armor or custom clothing, because it reports that it's a custom fit.

How about putting the feature of:

1) Only usable by Half-orc. 2) Only usable by Human, Half-elf (tiefling, aasimar, genasi) 3) Only usable by Halfling, Gnome (and kobolds, goblins) 4) Only usable by Dwarf 5) Only usable by Elves (and drow)

When you make the item , it's equal to your current race.

The magic items "shrink or grow" to fit as per normal.

I think the issue is that it would be kind of clunky and not greatly desired. What happens when people want to give clothes as a gift? Or a rogue with a little bit of UMD gets his hands on the clothes?

I think it's best if it stays 'one size fits all', largely because it's a lot more convenient.

There could well be an option to "make it for another race apart from you" for those wanting to buy stuff for other people.

Surprisingly, I think this would take away from the realism. Lets say you buy armor at any old Shop. Anyone can use this armor. However, then You get an armor made, Now only one race can use it. This prevents you from making it for another race, or getting it resized later, and it brings to question why other not-quite-so-fitted-armor can fit both halflings and fat orcs.

Then again, if you look at it as an exact fit, Why does a armored sized for a fat person, fit a skinny one? And if an armor is built for a small race, why does it weigh the same? And then why could armor sized for a human, not fit a skinny half-orc? etc..

I know alot of this is nit picking, but I'm trying to show that not everything needs a mechanical trait for us to Rp realism. NWN has its quirks, some good, others less so. This just sounds like unnessesary extra scripting to me.
