Marvolo's Death

It was bound to happen eventually, and it finally did! Marvolo is dead, and that's the end of it.

So how did it happen?

Well, poor Marvolo was caught in one of his less successful disguises. He got thrown around a bit - first to prison, then to trial with Councilor Bhast, then thrown off to Lower to be beaten around a bit at the Temple of Hoar.

Marvolo tried to barter his way out of the situation, as usual. It didn't work . So he was finished off, and flung off again to this place:

What is this? Marvolo is in front of one of Velsharoon's favored, and he doesn't have as much as a pair of woolly leggings to preserve what little is left of his dignity?

This is Marvolo with clothes on. Ahh! And that's Leon's Soul beside him. Take that, you rotten Hoarrans! *shakes his fist*

Essentially, Velsharoon is pleased, and wants Marvolo to research the animation of new undead.

Neato, huh? Marvolo was loads of fun to play, and I hope that I brought fun to others. While I owe something to a lot of people, there are a few people who I'd like to acknowledge in particular:

Sabaron and whoever else was involved - For the happy ending. I couldn't have asked better for Marvolo

Nuclear Catastrophe, Metro Pack - For getting Leon back on his feet. And probably loads of other stuff that I've forgotten!

Howland - For the Clydus quest, which really launched Marvolo's character into the air. For Po's Primer, Thomas, drow plundarr, and loads of generous loot and XP gain. You're the best!

Caddies - For Sarah, and managing the construction of that temple which will remain nameless. Good fun.

Ruza - For Mara and Chessolin. I owe many hours of enjoyment to you.

Wern8 - For putting up with being a walking corpse.

Meldread - For getting Marvolo into one of the biggest mistakes he ever made.

TrueCold - For Richelle Lindgren. Scary!

General DM crew - for approving Marvolo for the Pale Master prestige class, and probably a plethora of other stuff which I can't remember, or don't know about.

That's all that I can remember for now. If I have forgotten someone, speak up and I'll update the list. I know that a lot more people deserve to be recognized.

So what's next for me now that Marvolo is gone? Bah! I'm not telling, you nosy-parker. Mostly because I don't have any ideas yet  . But I will! Give me time, and before you know it, I will be back online with a brand new character.

That explains why the d.m's were so busy :) well done, tarnam sure got the scare when marvo came after him :)

I'm very interested to learn that Leon is somehow up and kicking again :o . How did that happen?

Evil characters get to permadie, paladins just keep getting ressurrected of course :)

You wonder why the server overflows with paladins?

Marvolo was just so likeable even when he was being naughty. I couldn't bring Tommy to yell at him as much as I should have.

It was fun! I can't believe Richelle was truimphant in the end. :D Marvolo was a scary good liar.

Having a bunch of npc faction npc's always helps.

A very entertaining character. Well done!

Maybe I should have held onto the Primer >< Oh well. I'm gonna miss Marvolo, he was always interesting to talk to. What's Chessolin supposed to do now?

Yeah, Marvolo had a sense of style!

Spiffy! Too bad I never got to nail the sucker myself! While we may have never actually roleplayed together you did keep Agent Ferrington on the lookout for quite a bit!

Damnit, I was looking forward to seeing Marvolo today! You couldn't stay alive a day after we parted?

I played with marvelo a bit. all i can remember about him is that he kept plucking his eyebrows.

I enjoyed RPing with him when he minpulated Shank and continually reguarded Yaster as an inferior and refused to help him, even when Yaster had saved Marvolo's things. Fantastic charecter, such a loss when a great PC dies, wish mine could have met such an awesome ending.

I knew I should have punched Lockwood in the back of the head and yelled "run fer it, thar ain' no justice in this hole!"

Damn Damn Damn XD

Man we spent a billion years hunting him down. All those disguises, and actually played and characterized well enough to deter any identification. All until mister mute-helmet :)

Good job though :)

Ha! It wasn't that big of a mistake, it could have turned out much worse for him. ;)

I liked Marvolo, and was looking forward to playing with him on my new character. :( Oh well.

Marvolo was great, gonna miss him.

Marvolo was a joy to play with. I had some really fun interactions between him and Hodge. I think you played Marvolo brilliantly. For Hodge, Marvolo seemed a very friendly, likeable, but misguided individual who was experiencing some form of inner termoil that Hodge felt a need to assist with. You seemed to understand Hodge as being an intuitive character and played our interaction wonderfully. To Hodge, Marvolo seemed an orderly man with a potential toward good (yet fately in his evil ways), and I think it was a good example of how good and evil characters can interact and actually be friends. Marvolo seemed to be that likeable rehab guy who just couldn't seem to get it together and kept falling into bad times. Great fun.

I'm sorry to see him gone, but it was a great ride I'm sure. I tip my hat.

He was your version of my first charecter Samar. Memorable, fantastic, and even though NE in alligment had interactions with the good. And even though both strived toward the greater good they had evil ways of going about it. *salutes Marvolo statue in list of iconic PCs in his world*

you dont have ideas for new chars?

Man, i wish my mind was like that

I'll be sitting in math class with our boring, elderly teacher and scribbling a concept >.>
