I have spoken with Archibald, of Upper's Council. They wish a meeting with us, and I believe we may have to take them up on it. Archibald agrees to recognize our government, and have us be independent from Upper. However, he wishes our two Councils to meet, and I also believe that would be beneficial. If you think this would be a good idea, reply.
I have spoken with the duergar regarding remodelling the Fortress for both the Council and the Footmen. If we did so, we would begin being able to arrest criminals, have keys to the upper portion of it for Council business, and make ourselves more legitimate. This would be expensive, however. The duergar of Clan Grunstubble have estimated the price to be 30,000 gold. If we have a way to raise this gold, we should discuss it, or even discuss the possibility of instituting a low tax for merchants and other groups.
