Members of the Watch,

I grieve for the loss of your comrades and friends in the recent violence. The sacrifice of their very lives in the defense of the citizens of this bastion of safety shall be remembered as an example of noble selflessness and honor beyond compare.

Clan Stoutheart raises a salute to those that have passed to the next realm, and those who have been left behind to carry on the crucial work of protecting the rest of us.

As the current Thane of the Stoutheart Clan, I am offering the combat strength of our axes and hammers, as well as the scouting and casting might of our other beards to assist the Watch in defending this town. We would be able to mobilize a dozen of our members or more at short notice in response to a threat leveled against Sanctuary. This can only be an asset to the Watch and the Civil Defense League, especially after the recent loss of many of your finest members.

To enable us to assist the Watch and Civil Defense League in defending our kin in Upper and Lower, as well as the other citizens of Sanctuary, we are willing to form an arrangement with you and the Law in Sanctuary to help make this a safer place for all. To make us readily accessible in time of need, we would be willing to relocate our entire Clan from Tornbeard Hall to the area under the Ruined Stairs near the bazaar.

We also would be interested in comprising a Stoutheart Patrol to regularly sweep the areas surrounding Sanctuary and to provide an early warning if dangerous forces are massing or preparing to invade.

Sheriff Walters, I would like to meet with your or Sergeant Marshall concerning these proposals at your earliest conveniance.
