*A statement left at the watch house*
I, Ashlee von Ettinbruuk, hereby make the following statement and declare it to be true to the best of my knowledge:
While I was at the town hall with Leon Belmont and Associate Lindgren, a half-orc came up to us, saying his name was Korg. He said that a man named "Zombie-boy" wanted to meet with "Lion Belly" whom we surmised meant Leon. The half-orc was wearing a helmet and Associate Lindgren, thinking he might have been part of an assault earlier, asked him to remove it. He was fairly adamant in his refusal, until at one point he finally relented and removed his helmet. Throughout the conversation he slipped with his alias and occasionally referred to himself as "Grok", an anagram for Korg.
Leon agreed to go with him, as long as Associate Lindgren went along. He asked if I could come along in order to lend aid by way of spells in case things went wrong. We had earlier been told by Mr. Taddle that Marvolo chose to associate himself with some half-orcs, and as I already knew that Marvolo was a necromancer, I surmised that this is who Grok meant when he referred to "Zombie-boy".
Grok told us that "Zombie-boy" was waiting in the "caves" by the "dark dwarves", which we assumed meant the mines. We went down there, and as soon as we got to the juncture pretty far in that leads to the Blue Mushroom, we were assaulted by an unnatural darkness. I had previously cast an invisibility spell upon myself and I stayed hidden as at least three heavily armored half-orcs stormed out of the darkness and attacked Leon.
I ran away until the sounds of combat stopped. When I entered the tunnel again, I saw three of those orcs standing over the bodies of Mr. Taddle, Associate Lindgren, and Leon.
The leader of the orcs said something about how they only needed the bones, and how they were going to sell them. The one orc who I recognized as Grok demanded that he be allowed to take his "friend" Bungo. He got really mad when the leader hacked at the body, but seemed to get his way. I moved out of the way as he proceeded up the tunnel with Mr. Taddle slung over his shoulder.
Then I clearly heard a voice that I recognized echoing down the tunnel -- though slightly deeper and eviller sounding. It was the voice of Marvolo, who used to be a good friend of mine. He said that he would buy the bones of Associate Lindgren and Leon, and then ordered the orcs to finish them off. I saw the leader hacking at Associate Lindgren, but that's when I ran away -- to try and get help.
