Letter left for Barrister at the Rock

Barrister-

I wasn't able to speak with you after we encountered the slavers. However, I wanted to thank you for your help. You obviously had a better understanding of the situation than me, and I greatly appreciate your help. Obviously, we had a huge need for level heads with that group.

Perhaps we can meet sometime soon to talk more about it- I'm not sure if we're done with the slavers.

*letter is received and given due thought*

I'll keep you in formed Seeker Shane. I think it is unfortunate that a great deal went poorly during that mission but I was impressed by your level headedness in rushing past the distraction to the slaver's themselves and willingness to listen to reason and take necessary action in stopping the wizardess before she escaped.

If you are aware of the name of the Society Ordinate working in this matter as well, I would include the both of you in the information that I've obtained and some working theories I have on what may be going on. Ernestine Helthor will need to be made aware the potential difficulty, and if you can do so--speak with the children in the Orphanage. Find out if any of them have lived in Sanctuary before they were rescued. Its possible, some of these children were kidnapped from Sanctuary and we rescued them unknowingly.

I find it strange, 300 human children. Where were they being shipped and why? I expect a Seeker is well suited to answer that question. Keep me informed sir.

Respectfully,

Barrister Fawkes

Seeker,

Contrary to my request to keep me informed, it appears that the Sheriff has been found guilty of engaging in this slaving operation. Yet I fear that many of Sanctuary's children are now residing in Traensyr, and indeed may have been doing so for decades--ever since the former Sheriff came to power.

The Seekers I feel are in the best position to learn more about this matter and I urge your organization to locate those who took youths from our land. The blackmarket connections to Traensyr should be severed, they are indeed the likely route that draws the attention of the drow city to Sanctuary on these last several occasions.

I again offer any aid you I can give in this endeavor.

Respectfully,

Barrister Fawkes

Barrister,

Things happened rather quickly, making it hard to inform you. However, we now have some extensive knowlege of the slaving operations.

I'd be glad to meet with you to talk.

-Shane
