When you exit the Auction house and enter the the Alley with all the goblins, you walk straight ahead. There's 1 alley over which you can Jumb/climb into the canal ward. If you walk on, there's another transit taking you to the canal ward. When you decide to take it, you'll find there's no transit headed back.
