Melrick's End

I just want to say thank you to everyone who made my first character on EfU so enjoyable. It's only a shame that I can't go into the details of all the things Melrick has done and was plotting to do without giving away serious spoilers. I'd like to give special thanks to the following people: Oroborous, for bringing me into the Toboerski Faction, Howland for running several awesome quests and that epic showdown, and to Sabaron, MadCaddies, Song of Orpheus, and a large number of PC people I can't name because of spoilers - but you know who you are.

I shall see everyone with my next character!

To give proper context to the final screen shot here is what was said before it was taken- Bloated Imp: It's not so bad! Bloated Imp: *wings strain to keep its corpultent form in the air*

So what is Melrick doing now? In between his gluttonous activity he secretly plots his revenge, not only on the one who slew him, but against his "Master" as well. Melrick learned in the Underdark that trust was foolish, and mercy a sign of weakness. It was his trust that got him killed and his lack of ruthlessness his downfall. A single moment of weakness, that he has seen echoed in his master's actions. He now has all eternity in which to plot his vengeance... in between stuffing his face, growing more hateful and vengeful with each bite.

Thats brilliant!

That's such a cool way to end a char. Nice to see that not all chars get "you have done well my child have a castle and a other cool stuff"

Nice work!

I still love those visual effects.

Next time you summon an imp, it might be melrick the fat imp watch out ;)

Rocking.

Well done.

I can easily see that as a dm spice on the imp quest in the ruins, suddenly the party gets attacked by an imp called "Melrick", an imp in toberiski knight uniform

It sounds like my life in elementary and junior high school.

What you'll all see is a hunter of Malar trying to catch the cosmos' fattest imp so he can eat it and rip it apart.

nice use of those fx wands dms. :D

A very interesting ending.

Merlick (and Dungal) were two PCs that I really wanted my character to meet and possibly scheme with for political power. Ah well.

Wouldn't it be interesting to play a wizard as your next character and somehow bind Melrick to be your familiar? I'm not sure if that's altogether possible here, though...

I can think of worse punishments than getting fat :) Do me a favor and send me a PM, I wanna know who killed you and what happened to Mara (need to know if she's done or if I"m still supposed to do something). Melrick was definately fun to play to with.

Mara is still in the same position she was in before Melrick died, if the person who killed Melrick wants their deed to be known that's fine - otherwise I'd rather not make it public knowledge to avoid metagaming.

I'm glad everyone enjoyed role-playing with Melrick. I have various ideas for new characters, and have talked to Howland about exploring one of those ideas. A post in the General Discussion Forum will appear soon with me outlining a possible prelude event.

Mara still locked in the closet?

Fun playing with your character man, and a proper ending. Looking forward to your next one.

Oroborous Mara still locked in the closet?

No but I bet she wishes she was. She did manage to set the storage room on fire though

No, Mara probably wishes she was still locked in the storage room, though. If she could be given a choice, I'm pretty sure right about now, she'd be begging to be Melrick's pet again.

lol

General Nasol Xak'Null regularly beats Melrick the Imp for his master's amusement

Heh, Melrick was an awesome character, can't wait to run around with your next character Meldread. Peace!

-UnholyWon

LOL. Yes, I was waiting for that to happen. The day Melrick converted Nasol was the day he died, and he got made a General. Melrick served loyally long before he even arrived in Sanctuary, and got made an Imp because of his failures. :P (Tip: Never make promises to Hellish beings that you can't deliver on... like swearing that you'll deliver an entire city to them.)

Swweeeeeettt....Politicial scemeing with Dungal isn't wise, my favorite charecter, and freind of Melrick, tried that and ended up 'vanishing' as a conseqeunce.
