Quest items disappearing

I see the use of deleting quest items after a log in, however for some quests it's not really needed. Like yesterday I went into the Dunwarren ruins and got a couple of animatron parts and forgot to cash them before I logged of, when I logged in today they were stripped from my inventory.

Not sure if this also counts for the rothe meat and the beetle bellies, but if it does, I do suggest that items for those kind of quests do survive a server reset.

This isn't really a bug, so I'm moving it over here.

Buying the map to start the quest for arga also means if you dont even start it will disappear next time the server resets.

If you're really worried about people being able to start that quest ad-infinitum over resets without paying out the cash again you can actually put in a return to person at the end of argas quest that takes the map from you in exchange for ending the quest and giving you xp.

Maybe you find a seller of exotic maps, that the original seller tells you will pay X money for it if you can prove it leads to some treasure. The exotic map salesman, buys the map from you "effectively giving you a quest reward" and the party gets xp.

p.s. I also agree machine parts should not be removed, I know it's a catch all and easier that way just to remove all quest items. I think the machine parts should not be labeled quest items at all. The person you hand the items in to simply gives you X money and X xp for giving them to him, however you came by them.

I'm pretty sure rat meat for gobbler doesnt get destroyed over server resets.

Wrong.

Why don't you just drop the things off before logging out? Works for me.
