This notice appears inside the Rock Bottom, the Town Hall, and outside of the Spellguard Tower

The Spellguard will reward individuals for seeking and recovering complete samples of the rare Flesh Fungus of the Underdark. It is an absolute priority that adventurers recover this fungus to further extend our understanding and abilities to treat this plague that has beseeched Sanctuary.

This fungus has a short, barely visible, hard stalk that support a stubby, dome-shaped and very soft bulb that can grow to be nearly the size of a child’s head. The bulbs themselves have a light tan color and feel much like the fleshy part of the palm of a hand. They are to be harvested in their entirety with extreme care as to not dislodge the stalk from the bulb, for the will then decay at an alarming rate, rendering them useless. Flesh Fungus grows in many environments, but it is very rare, as when one fully develops, it is entirely unusual to find another in proximity.

Complete samples of Flesh Fungus can be given to both Associates and Agents of the Spellguard Mages. You will be rewarded an amount proportional to the bulb that is recovered.
