I am Faenor Rollo Stoneshield, High Priest of the Stoutheart Clan, and now regrettably, it's Thane. Hammer of Moradin Akevitt Anvilsmasher was my close friend, and I will attempt to accept the responsibility of spokesman of the Stouthearts.

The title of Thane is not a king. It is the elected representative of the people, usually done in this type of dwarven settlement where royalty is not present. As such, I do not wield absolute power of the Clan, although my influence is significant.

I will be speaking for the Clan in its entirity. If you have issues or concerns about any of my kinsman, I would ask that you direct them through myself. Stouts are a proud lot, and will likely as not feel that they can speak for themselves and represent the Clan as they see fit. And while I have the utmost respect and love for my kinsman, not all of us are as diplomatic as others...

We are a strong-willed people, and we generally desire coming to a consensus and making decisions that benefit the group. Please do not assume that the word of any other Stout besides myself represents the position of the Clan at the time, unless they specifially state that it is the will of the Council of Elders, which includes myself.

Any dwarf that arrives in Sanctuary is welcomed into the Clan, and I would ask that you explain this if they are recently arrived and alone. We work best together, and a dwarf alone and feeling threatened is a dangerous, unpredictable quantity. However, only a select few will serve on the Council and will have a say in Clan affairs.
