It has come to the attention of the Society of the Ordered Mind that the Spellguard recently have come into ownership of several extracted illithid plants from several thralls, most notably Maalgor.

The Society courteously inquires after the fate of these implants. We would like to know, if you would graciously deign to tell us, what is being done with these hostile devices, and what is planned to be done with them in the future.

it is my belief that it is best that none of the members of your order be informed of the location and/or current fate of these implants. The members of the Society repeatedly attempt to locate and engage various abherrations, including Illithid, and as such I am hard pressed to reveal sensitive information, concerning devices that might be used to enthrall and/or control citizens of Sanctuary, to those that can very likely find themselves under the influence of an Illithid in the near future.
