just came to mind as i was exploring CEP2
how come this server never used the CEP exspansion pack since most servers do these days?

I think there's two main reasons, but I'm sure you could find others if you did a forum search.
1. Players get turned off by downloading stuff, EFU tries to be as open as possible.
2. CEP has alot of junk in it. Some of the stuff is great, don't get me wrong, but alot of it is junk.
ok thats all fair enough i guess. i do like the fact that EfU has no haks what so ever and its still an amazing server :)
The CEP pack is actually bigger than our module as a whole. CEP produces extra lag, even more than most haks due to the huge ammount of content in it.
80% of the stuff in CEP is content we would never use anyway. So we'd be adding a ton of stuff and not getting benefit out of it. If we add a hak, it would be a tighter hak that allowed us to just bring in content that would add to the setting.
