Have player corpes be summoning components for far superior stronger undead. Also the lvl of the corpse affects summon as well. This would indeed be fun for necromancers or other evils.

Other option idea for corpses (requires dms however.) Evil spellcasters can not only use corpses but suck the soul out of corpses. uses a person can do with a soul.

1 destroy it therefore destroying an immortal soul.

2 drain it you look through the soul seeing preivouse experiences (500 xp gain )

3 play with it get a souless body and put someone elses soul in it making another person have a diferent body.

4 sell it fiends often use souls as curency and you might get a service in exchange for the soul..

5 coruptive Yes you may seek to have the person raised however. You corupt the soul and place it back in the body. Therefore changing alingment and the person with the changed soul will have desires to comit vile acts of evil.

Plans are underway to make Animate Dead usable on PC corpses.

hmm intresting curiouse to ask what is the dms plan on this animate with player corpses. my questions are simply this

"what will be summoned?" "how will this affect respawn?"

Animate dead on player corpses would be great fun :)

"now my minion, pick up that bag of your items, I dont want to lug around all that guff!"

Creature is Raised with a unremovable speed decrease, immunity to disease/poison/sneak attacks, vulnerability to positive energy damage, reversal of healing/negative energy, turnable by clerics, inability to cast spells/use items, stone bones/undeath to death etc works on them. And a limited life span time wise.

Animation fails later down the track. Pack of goods drops again. Back to square one ;)

Would this be done by applying some sort of undead skin?
