To Councilor Toboerski

Sir Dungal Toboerski,

Greetings and well met Grand Magistrate. I do hope in all sincerity that this very long letter will somehow by the grace of Kelevmor find a way to capture your attention.

My name is Izrik. Although I have been granted a very brief encounter with you myself, our conversation at that time, did instill me with high hopes and aspirations. I write to you now in regards to the Mausoleum, Caretaker Izarious Patton, and the extremely crucial civil service that is for a lack of better word; being evident or under worked within. I feel not many care one bit about my plight and thus I turn to you, a tireless champion of the city herself, working endlessly to help Sanctuary on many fronts with my fingers crossed hoping you might help me.

I am a native citizen of Sanctuary, born second generation in a small, very cramped one room apartment down in the Lower quarters of the city. As am impoverished family, I grew up without coin, without things, and many nights, without food. Crime and carnage took place on many occasions outside our little room-which used to sit aloft the Pissing Crone, although now has been gutted and empty; taken many years ago by force and turned over to outfit someone else’s needs. Sometimes , I sit in the Crone alone and reminisce about those days which are dwarfed in comparison by the recent events that have transpired....

Nevertheless, I turned myself over to faith. Sometimes, when altercations would occur in the streets of Sanctuary I would find solace on the cold benches of the Mausoleum. Alone I sat, watching as citizens would flock in and out; sometimes in groups other times alone. They came from all positions within the city, of all races and many different faiths and yet they had one thing common among them: grief for their, beloved, departed.

I met a young woman at the time named Molkisus. A human woman, an ex-slave of the Drow, who took notice of me and under her direction I focused my faith and began to learn of Kelevmor. Many days and nights I spent learning, performing various tasks about town for the Mausoleum, running errands, taking messages, little mundane chores which she claimed would help focus my faith in Kelevmor thus ultimately serving him.

I seek employment within the Mausoleum. I seek to use my faith as a boon for this crucial establishment. I seek not only to restore the good name of the Mausoleum but to also make less burdensome the overworked Caretaker Patton seems incapable any longer himself of doing alone. I seek.....you.

As a Councilor I beseech you. As Izarious has told me now quote, "In order for you to work here Izrik, you will need the approval of the Council. I would like nothing more than an aid, yet, I am severely unrefined and could not possibly pay for your time here. Though if I have the endorsement of some of the Council AND if more funds were secured, then yes Izrik, yes it would be a victory for the Mausoleum, a victory for Sanctuary."

Councilman Highill has given his full support to me and has even pledged that should Caretaker Patton need to speak with him, he would gladly do so.

As far as more funding goes, I understand that, funds are not lightly released or tossed about within the city and the countless hours of debate over this subject which is not priority to many, would go round and round in circles. So I projected to Caretaker Patton a donation bowl be placed within the Mausoleum as there is not one, with hope that citizens themselves could donate coin, hoping to alleviate his financial burdens. I have the names of three city services which I will write to listed here: Stone Mason Valgur Stonebeard and Company, Generel Contracting Susan Micknimack and Company, and the Mikkelson Family, and will with a bit of luck get reply back as to how much it would cost to construct this simple donation stone bowl, and pay for it myself, gifting it to the Mausoleum for free.

Sir, I know you are a busy man. I know you fight wars on many many fronts. I do know that this situation within the Mausoleum is not a priority to many on the Council, yet I come to you. A faithful knight, a dutiful politician, a man chosen by the people to speak for the people, you Sir, I come to you in my last hour hoping that your heart opens to me, and you would take pity, and compassion on my plight. I supplicate you Sir, if there is anyway you could be of assistance in this matter, please. I may be contacted inside the Rock Bottom Inn should you find time to respond back to a obedient citizen.

In regards and with reverence,

Izrik.

We are looking into this problem for you and at your request. I find favor with it.

In Regards,

Sir Dungal Toboerski Grand Magistrate of the Toboerski Knights Councilor
