Sir Alexander Archibald,

Your father, Lord Archibald, hired me several years ago to explore the threat range to the city of Sanctuary, and to provide the house with information regarding its protection. To this day, one of the threats I hear whispered among travellers is that of Maalgor the Malevolent. Performing my sworn duty, I decided to look into this. The information that I have found on the following is strictly confidential, and to be read only by the eyes of the patriarch of the Archibald family, and the authorities who he sees fit. Thus, I include entires from my diary from certain days, to prove my points.

Kythorn 9th Tomorrow the new aristocracy of the city is born, but I am away. Sometimes I wonder if ... [a large part seems blotted out and washed away with water] -aa/gor has not been spotted. Found note, not much information. It claims that death will come to the city. How fun! Oversaw a meeting between two men, one in black and red and green tunic, one in armor, Kossuth like. They discussed something about fire, I had to move along and continue my mission.

Kythorn 11th Archibald has been elected, finally something good. Travellers whispered it amongst the tales of Maalgor. [several quickly written and sketched out words are here] I saw him, his black armor and helm. He was torturing a young woman, beating her. Stole her things, turned to me. I fled, but he did not go after me. He took the girl and carried her off, into slavery. I followed, he didn't seem to notice me. To the Pyrimo he went, I dared not follow. Later, he came out as I was writing the first part. Same man, with black and red and green. They talked about Lower, and not the harm the Knighthood. (?) Unknown, will look into it later.

Kythorn 13 Knighthood of Toboerski in lower. Odd not to harm them? Bhast seems to control the lift. Orogs came through lower, fought the Knights, killed one of them and the other fled. Cave Worm(?) came and destroyed them, so they called themselves. Barbarians, barely wore any clothes. Councillor Gaeseric appears to be with them(?). Gate restored, defended again. Many threats near that area, but theres an orb that teleports from the Canal Ward to the Dunwarren ruins. Used that, found a group exploring. Joined them and went into the bowels of the machine. When leaving, Maalgor attacked us. Group scattered, one killed. We managed to hurt him before he fled under cover of darkness. Seems to be able to counter it, dangerous to stay in. Advised to run out of darkness when it is cast

Kythorn 15 Man in red armor, green cloak. Called Sir Mick by Maalgor. Working a deal with a golden mercenary, Tane(?). Watch hired Tane to kill Maalgor, will spy on the city and keep Maalgor aware of efforts using this. Mick will use his lords political sway to make the Watch look like idiots, and use allies to accomplish this. Tane and Maalgor left to go towards Fort Mur, Mick went invisible and back to the city. I was invisible, watching. Hiding, somewhat.

These notes are tattered, but I hope you will not fire me because of it. I still can watch out for you. I will continue to hunt this Tane and Maalgor until I find out what is actually happening. If you know, leave a note outside the gate, near Seers cave. I won't go into the city unless I have to, too busy exploring. Maybe I'll be a Seeker some day. Heh.
