[The letter is specifically addressed to Faenor Rollo Stoneshield as well as other members of the Stoutheart Clan.]
Dear Faenor Rollo Stoneshield,
I apologize I have not written you a letter sooner. My time has been consumed with much work, but I could not in good conscience put this letter off a moment longer. I wish to offer you and your clan my deepest heart felt condolences on the loss of Councilor Thane Akevitt. He was a good man, and despite any differences between House Toboerski and the Stouthearts, I am certain we all feel the loss deeply.
I have heard that a beast known as Maalgor is responsible, and I would like to extend my aid to you and your clan in your quest for justice. I am unable to do much at the moment unfortunately. My hands are rather tied, and I'm afraid if I act the Watch will once again try and put me on trial.
You should be careful in how you proceed in enacting vengeance upon the beast. The Watch placed me on trial for bringing justice to a guild that was responsible for slaughtering children. The same twisted individuals who placed the corpses of children outside of Tornbeard Hall. I killed them all aside from two who managed to escape: Henry Whitecloak and Shandri - a rogue Spellguard Associate.
Everyone is on high alert and searching for them desperately. However, the Watch has threatened to put me on trial again if I take action.
But enough of my troubles. If there is anything that I can do to aid you in capturing or killing Maalgor simply let me know. Vengeance is well deserved for every Stoutheart. A message must be sent that every crime committed must be met with swift justice, and the slaying of a Councilor is the highest crime any individual could commit.
Respectfully Signed, Sir Melrick, Knight of House Toboerski
