The Bug Queen quest where you have to kill about 20+ beetles and the fairy-thingy should have a way higher EXP reward if soloing, the item/money reward is awsome (3 potions and at least more then 50 gp) just i have been killed by being dazed by the fairy and eaten by the beetles heaps of times and with the EXP loss for death of EFU it makes it nearly impossible to get it all back with the 125 or whatever EXP reward. If not soloing then the ouest/reward thing would balance out but for soloing its just annoying >.<. And with all the high levels nowdays its very hard to find a group for the little lvl 2/3ish quests like that, if you guys can make the EXP reward higher, thanks heaps if not then i will try to die less lol.
Bug Queen quest EXP Reward
Dont solo it then, get a group.
there arnt many ppl with low enough lvl chars to do it and its a awshome quest, just the EXP reward isnt awshome, it doesnt even make cool half the time cos beetles dont give good EXP
Solo Quests are supposed to have low exp, so you don't get to lvl 5 just by doing them alone.
I think you would find yourself actually getting more experiance if you took more people.
LaBrea I think you would find yourself actually getting more experiance if you took more people.
Formulae for most quests =
More People = Less gold + bigger spawns = more xp for kills (this is gradual you won't even notice it if your just constantly watching your gauge.
Less People = Unchallenging spawns + next to no xp + somewhat more loot and gold.
Actually, you just get less exp. I went through Boggs as a lvl 4, got no exp from the zombies and 5 from boggs. Same with 2 other lvl 4s, 5 from each one and 27 from Boggs.
Magic, that was because of your level, and the difference in CR between you and the zombies. More people does mean more experience, because of larger spawns.
As for the beetle quest, if it's too dificult to do alone, find some others. Questing alone is boring!
Our XP system is designed to discourage solo-ing. You're very much encouraged to go to the extra effort to find a group, since the opportunities for roleplaying and interacting with other characters often add a great deal to the questing experience.
Arkov's right, and the beetle quest is no problem at all with 2 people. It's always good to have one person to watch your back.
