brewery bug

the enchanter goblins do not disappear. it is annoying...and the loot does not appear.... please fix this...it is driving me mad. ((this is the what do you do with a druken hobgoblin quest))

you might need to explain what the problem is exactly a bit better

here is the delima. on brewery quest in lower sanctuary three goblins. hobgoblins. drunken hobgoblins. rouge goblins. and the occasional burley hobgoblin. all these enemies when they die dissapear and drop loot ((occasionally)) the goblin enchanters on the other hand here. do not dissappear when they die. in fact it is much like an npc you got mad and killed. so you still get the attack icon when you move your curser over it but cannot attack. or you cannot get any items from those corpses. my point is that when a hostile creature dies it should leave remains. this enemy on this mission do not leave remains because the body fails to disappear.

After experiencing this issue myself today I've been able to figure out the point of this bug report--and it's very valid.

I'll try to explain. It seems that, when goblin enchanters (I'm pretty certain these were the only ones affected that we came across) are killed, they don't disappear. The NPCs fall with a "Dead" tag under the name, but the cursor, when hovered above the bodies, still changes into a sword (think subdued, except they don't get up).

The enchanters themselves apparently do not respawn at all after having been killed once, but are instead left to rot until the next reset. As a result of this, the difficulty is greatly reduced after the quest has been completed once.

See if this happens with Goblin Necromancers as well, in v755.

I am attempting to identify whether a particular OnSpawn script for the Goblin Enchanters is causing the corpses of these goblins, when spawned through the EFUQS spawning system, to unnecessarily persist. To do this, I have attached this script to the Goblin Necromancers as well. If the same problem occurs for them, then it will be a good indicator that the script in question is causing the problem. If it does not, it will be a good indicator that the script in question is not causing the problem.

Any updates on this? Are goblin necromancers exhibiting the same problem?

I think they may be, actually. On a short Caddies DM quest, there was a Goblin Necromancer, and I'm fairly sure the corpse stuck around, but truthfully? I can't be positive.

Somebody please test this for me. I think they spawn on the Goblin Fort quest, for example.

It's definitely a problem with that on_spawn script. Necros, Enchanters, and I believe other monsters all have irritatingly persistent corpses.

If you know of any other monsters with this issue, please post them here.

I have noticed on the ogre quest that the Ogre King will appear dead on the quest. I have seen it in his hut as well as on one of the bridges. There always has been another Ogre King that is alive that spawns as well. This was confusing once when a corspe was in the hut, but the living one was invisible. I've only seen one corpse so I dont think they stack from multiple groups.

This should hopefully be fixed for every monster for which it is an issue, in v764.
