I apologize in advance for getting a bit crabby last night over how the whole whip thing happened. It was 2am my time and it was Sunday night before having to go to work on Monday...enough said.
A little clarification on what happened would be good for me. I mainly would like to know how everything went down. Last I knew I merely suggested Marvolo be interested in the item in front of Fyrian. I never gave it to him. I also never said I would. I just Said let's go back to the Upper and *gave him a look*. Then afer exiting the party, Marvolo and I met and talked in the abandoned mines where I decided to trade him the item since my character knows little about magic and less about Varlam's role or Fyrian's role in the game world.
In my mind there could have been suspicion but no way for anyone to have known this happened.
Then I get back to the Rock Bottom Inn and Marvolo is getting grilled about having the whip and there it is on the table.
Now I would suspect since Marvolo is not quite on the path to righteousness (the impression I get), that he would not fold like a cheap suit if asked, "so do you have the whip?" But maybe he did.
This is where my problem lies...how did it happen that anyone knew he had it? No one saw the exchange, heard the exchange or knew I was going to do it IC. Then I was accused of doing it right under Fyrian's nose which I most certainly did not. Showing isn't giving.
So can someone tell me how it all came down?
Sorry again for getting crabby last night, I shouldn't have gotten all worked up about it until we could clarify it OOC. I recognize that I got all aggro before talking it through. I have had nothing but great RP-ing experiences with the people on EFU so I don't want to be a turd to anyone.
Thanks.
