Respected members of the Council

Corruption is the very thing we fled from when we freed ourselves from the restraints of slavery. We fled from our cruel pasts and Sanctuary was founded, a place of Freedom, a place to protect us from the cruelties of the Underdark, a new beginning.

However, within my ten or so years within Sanctuary, I can't help but notice that the exact thing we fled from is rearing it's vile head in our Homeland. Corruption within the Watch and Spellguard, the abuse of power so carefully given, our very protectors are now the people we fear and avoid when we can, or risk ill treatment if asked anything of. Many others than I have seen the corruption, and surely no organization or society is devoid of what I speak of, but should we still tolerate it?

I think not. I've been investigating corruption within the Law Enforcement organizations, though specifically the Watch. I have spoken to citizens who have felt abused or victimized, and then I have spoken to the Watch and other witnesses involved, attempting to learn and allow them their defense, a few times at risk to my own well being. It is obvious it is present, and I wish to do something about it.

So I humbly request an audience with the Council at a time which all may be present without discomfort. I will lay before them my notes, studies and conclusions of my investigations into this and then present my solution; An Organization which would be officially reconized by Sanctuary and who's primary goal would be to investigate such affairs unrestricted and without harassment. This organization would investigate cases of corruption, gather evidence and notes, and then present it to the Council.

I will definitely go into more detail should an audience be granted, and I will also carry testimony from any and all witnesses possible for each event I'll speak on.

I truly believe that it will be steps like these that will turn Sanctuary into a place that even the Seekers will think twice on before entertaining thoughts of returning to the surface.

I made my proposal some time ago and was told I could expect a response within two days time.

It has been several weeks, I write to ensure that my allegations have been thought over as well as my proposal and what the verdict is on what I have brought before everyone.

If any wish to speak with me on my proposal, I would be more than willing to address any concerns or anything else.

Your proposal is being deliberated upon by the Council. At present, we are awaiting additional testimony from Private Greyward of the Watch. Although we have sought to conduct our discussions within a speedy timeframe, the recent loss of Councilor Paxtor and the abundance of relevent material in this particular case has forced us to spend additional time in order to properly and judiciously consider all that has been put before us.
