website deity listings

I've already sent this info in an email to dms, but thought I'd put it on here for everyone to know.

Shargaas' Domains should read: Chaos, Darkness, Evil, Trickery, Orc

Kelemvor's should read: Law, Protection, Travel

In addition, as Death has been removed from Kelemvor's Domains due to being replaced by Repose in 3.5, the same should occur for Urogalan, Osiris and Jergal.

Of course this is up to the DMs to decide, but as this leaves Jergal with one domain only, perhaps the Death domain should a) be kept in for all four deities b) be replaced by Sun as a substitute for Repose? c) someone creates another custom domain for Repose!

I've also sent updated domains for Dead and Monster Deities that include the EfU custom domains to the DMs.

None of these are bugs, as they accurately reflect the deity/domain table in the module. I'm moving this to the Suggestions forum.

Aren't we playing 3e?

Yes we are. Neverwinter Nights uses D&D 3.0 rules. D&D 3.5 rule set was published a couple of years ago (more than one, but less than three). If I remember it correctly, NWN was published in 2002.

There are haks that change some 3.0 rules to 3.5. For example the rule that makes character in Full Plate move slower.

Shargaas' and Kelemvor's domains are not what they should be according to canon, and although this isn't a bug I still feel it is something that should be changed in both the website and the domain table in the module.

I'm not really sure when the change from 3.0 to 3.5 was, but Faiths and Pantheons (published 2002) is when the change from Death to Repose was made for those deities. Whether they add Death back in to Kelemvor's domains or do one of my other suggestions would be up to the DMs.

I think the following modifications are in order:

- Add Death back to Kelemvor, with an appropriate avatar.

- Add Travel to Kelemvor.

- Add Darkness to Shargass.

and in addition if possible -

Remove Destruction from Shargaas.

Remove Sun and Strength from Kelemvor.

Shargass will lose Destruction.

I think that Sun is still appropriate for Kelemvor, since it's the only NWN domain that actually focuses on destroying undead, which is Kelemvor's big thing.

fair enough.

I know I'm a little bit pedantic... but I just like reading the canon sourcebooks cause I'm a geek. so thanks for putting up with it. hehe.

Done!
