Generally on weekdays there is a complete lack of DMs between 4:30-11 GMT +10. The only Australian/Eastern Asian DM is RealityDevoid and at present, he is extremely busy with University and can't be around every single day even if he wasn't. This quiet zone leaves a void that limits what a player can do in regards to PvP/Plots. Also when a player suffers a bug (I once suffered the death bug and waited more then a hour only for the server to reset with everything my character had) there is usually no DM assistance if RD is not around.
My suggestion is to find an additional Australian DM for this period so there is more support for the Australian/Eastern Asian playerbase as RD cannot be around all the time every single day.
Anyway, opinions?

Definetely confirming the unavailability of DMs during the stated time period, which quite regularly can swing an hour or so either way, too. Overall, I think the DM coverage on EfU is awesome, but it would be nice to see some more action in this 6 hour timeslot.
That said, I'm sure the DMs are aware of this, though.

It's definitely the grey hour of EfU.
An extra DM would be much appreciated, and we don't need the already sterling DM team to sacrifice any more of their free time.

An extra DM in this timezone would be more than welcomed, Tristan is right it can be a long stretch for any DM to come along during this six hour time period.
That being said it isn't that much of a big deal as it is normally alot quieter than other time zones averaging 15 players at best.
A new AUS timezone DM would be Welcomed but not necessarily needed, unless there are several issues with PvP rule breaking, and blatant exploiting of the system carried out through this six hour time period.

when I'm up really late here (Central U.S.)and it swings into those hours, I will agree there is not much you can do about issues on the server.
However, I will give the DM's some credit here. Finding a new DM, especially one that's between 14 and 16 hours ahead of them, is hard to do. The server is based somewhere on the East Coast of the U.S. that makes it really hard for any of the DM's to find a regular player that fits Austrailian times......mainly because the ones who run the server in general (howland, Cawila, arkov) are usually asleep at during the typical AU play times.

Australian do play at different times other then the 4-10 pm GMT +10 period. I am sure the DMs are well aware of most Australian players.

I vote for a extra DM too, beacuse that time frame needs it. :(

Hawaii checks in on this request. I usually play late here, which is about when the Aussies start to invade...reminiscent of the Orc invasion on Helm's Deep.

May I suggest inviting one of our many excellent Australian players to become a DM? Before my university classes started up again I got to know more of the Aussies that play than Americans. From what I've seen, for the most part they are assets to this server. I know alot is involved in DMing...just throwing it out there.

I don't think Aussie's should have a DM.
I mean, seriously....
:P
For the love of all that is sacred...its a no brainer that more DMs are always useful. I think the issue folks is that DM potential people are not currently at the local Wal-mart!
The DMs are obviously looking for more DMs all the time, but they need to find them before they can make them.

Note to self...make next character a displaced Croc Hunter named Wally, very animated, always wears same clothes, loves shorts, is looking for new animals to wrestle, CG Ranger-type.
